62 Pages of Designs and more based on The Psalms – printed on one side of heavyweight paper
This is a lovely Scriptural based coloring book from Christian Art Publishers. There are 55 pages of full designs as well as 7 pages of bookmarks, cards, and gift tags. All of the full designs in the book (as well as most of the extras) include a verse from The Psalms. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version. The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. I like the there is such a large variety of designs but with the grounding of a single book of the Bible. The Psalms are the book I turn to when I am most troubled. The problems the Psalmist struggled with and the words he speaks to God usually find an echo in the things that I am struggling with as well. Here is a brief overview of what I found in this coloring book: 62 Pages of Designs based on The Psalms Designs printed on one side of smooth, white, heavyweight perforated paper Glue Binding Most designs merge past perforations into the binding area Alcohol-based makers bleed through the page Water-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens do not bleed through the page though gel pens require a longer than usual drying period Coloring pencils were mixed. I had good results with waxed-based soft lead pencils and hard lead pencils in general. Oil-based soft lead pencils laid down good color but did not blend well. Hard lead pencils did not dent the back of the page. I'm so pleased with the beautiful Scripture-based coloring books that I have found recently and am thankful to have found this one as well.
Gift
This was a gift for my mega religious mother. She passed it off as just a coloring book and handed it over for my niece to use. Once my niece cracked it open and my mother caught a glimpse of all the little sayings and intricate designs, she quickly took it back and fell in love with it. She didn't realize how theraputic and calming it was to color so she has discovered a new past time as well. I would definitely recommend this gift for your basic Christian.
I love the Psalms and I love this book!
Just like "My Favorite KJV Verses to Color" this book is perfect! Again, the cover is beautiful and the pictures are wonderful. Bright white, thick paper that is perforated. The pictures are one sided which I love! Bic Mark Its and Sharpies bleed thru, so if you don't remove the picture from the book when you color be sure to put something behind it. One of my favorite books. You will really enjoy it!!
A Very Nice way to entertain ones self especially if disabled
Thhis is the first time I have made such a purchase ! I am so happy coloring with My Children & Now My Younger Grandchildren.A Friend suggested I Try These~ At First,I thought a Bit silly but after I tried it,I Find it to be very relaxing! This was my first book & The Pictures are very detailed. There is a lot of Patience required.. Although I like the Bible verses I am going to look for one that doesn't require so much detail coloring.

Very, very pleased. Great quality. Bonus in back of book, cards, bookmarks, gift cards. Create a unique gift to share. Loved it enough ordered 2 more for gifts. Great way to unwind and meditate on the Lord's word.
Pictures Don't Reflect the Verses
The verses are well chosen, and the paper is good quality. But the pictures often don't relate to the verses at all. For example, for the verse "The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness" the picture is a bunch of flowers. Sometimes the connection is better, but it is pretty hit and miss. This makes it feel more like an ordinary coloring book and less like a reflection of the Psalms.
A definite MUST for anyone who loves to color and loves the Psalms
This coloring book is filled with beautiful pictures and a delightful selection of scriptures from the Psalms. The paper is high quality and I'm able to use both oil and water color pencils. Several coloring books I own seem a little redundant with the types of pictures they have for coloring. The Psalms in Color book has a nice variety and it doesn't feel like, "I just colored that!" A definite MUST for anyone who loves to color and loves the Psalms.

This book is Beautiful! The Psalms are songs of praise to God and this book provides an alternate way to offer Him praise using inspired Scripture and our creative talents. Also, it's printed on heavy paper which is a big plus!
I Keep Buying This Book as Gifts
I LOVE this book--both the fact that is has the entire Psalms inside but also the drawings inside. This book pairs perfectly with Charles Spurgeon's "Treasury of David" which is his 20 year study on the Psalms. It is available for free on-line at biblestudytools.com. I love that there is room in the margin for lots of notes. I have given this book as a gift for several friends and it has been a huge hit that they are working out of for several years...a gift that becomes a treasure. I am very pleased with this book.
You definitely NEED this one!!
Love this coloring book! I've been coloring 3++ years now and this is one of my most favorite book. The paper is a decent thickness so good for framing. There are smaller projects in the back like bookmarks which make nice little gifts, to and from tags, etc. There are a variety of scripture verses, very nice drawings to color.
